We have recently designed a 1m and 2m raised ‘planting Trug’ to provide the elderly, less mobile and wheelchair users with an opportunity to create a decorative flower bed or vegetable garden.

Designed at an adequate height for wheelchair users to have adequate leg clearance. It also presents the opportunity for those who may struggle to bend, kneel or reach to ground level, to maintain a vegetable patch or garden.

At 1m or 2m in length there is the opportunity to create an attractive garden feature. Without taking up too much outdoor space.

It also offers an alternative option for people with concrete gardens. Or limited space to take part in growing their favourite plants, salad crops or vegetables.

For growing requirements it features the optional extra of a 10mm thick polycarbonate lid to offer protection from the elements. The lid has two grille vents to enable air flow and movement to be controlled. This can have a variety of benefits such as preventing mould growth.

Part of the ‘Disability Friendly Garden Furniture Range’ these new products offer a practical solution to limits imposed by gardening. All the while adding an attractive focal feature for any outdoor space.
