Parking your car on your driveway is known to be safer than parking it in the street, as you’ll be aware of if you’ve arranged your car insurance recently. However, it doesn’t solve all your problems. There’s one external force you can never be safe from: the British weather. In summer your car can get so hot that it is painful to touch, in autumn you’re constantly scraping fallen leaves from its crevices, and in winter there’s the dreaded task of defrosting and demisting. If you’re getting completely fed up of these chores, then a garage is worth considering.
We sell three types of garages:
The Garage type
- This type is made from whole logs and is designed to resemble our log cabins. As a result this range shares many features with our log cabins. The windows come with our toughened glass, which is very difficult to break. You can opt for our 14mm double glazing too. Our storm braces help to keep the roof on in bad weather, and are adjustable which helps to prevent the natural settling of the timber from producing unsightly gaps. The roof beams are heavy duty and you can choose a wall thickness of either 28mm or 45mm, so you can be certain this is a safe and sturdy product.
If you need a lower roof to keep the neighbours happy, then the Trent Lo-Roof, which comes in three sizes, is the perfect choice.
Perhaps you want a metal door instead of a wooden one?
A fully pressure treated garage, to minimise your painting time?
The names to look out for are Trent and Deore, and they offer you all this and more.
The Timber Frame Garage
- This type is named after its timber frame, which holds pre-made timber panels. These are easier to assemble than the log garages. All these garages follow the same design idea, which is focused around the handsome “chunky” posts, but they vary a lot in width and depth so that you still get to choose what best suits your available space. These timber frame garages are all fully pressure treated, which means that we treat them with a highly effective pressurised method during manufacturing so that you don’t have to apply any treatment at all. We guarantee that the treatment will keep your garage free of rot or insect infestation for up to 10 years. The Timber Frame garages are named Atlas, Hercules, Artemis and Olympus.
- These car port garages are also timber framed. These follow the same designs and names as the timber frame garages with their chunky posts, and are also fully pressure treated. The only difference is that they do not have a front wall panels or a door.
- We also offer two “Lean-To” styles of carport, named Zeus and Brontes. These are open on all four sides and should be attached to the side of a house or other structure.
