Working from home is the ultimate dream. We’ve all envisioned it, now you can create it with your very own Garden Office. If you have chosen to make the big decision to work from home, now comes the difficult decision of how to decorate, furnish and personalise it. When you first start searching, normally by throwing the term ‘Garden Office’ into Google, it can be overwhelming. You are inundated with information, pictures and a whole variety of different things that makes furnishing an office difficult. In an attempt to make it a little simpler for you, I’ve broke down some of the key features that demonstrate how little work you have to do in order to create the ideal working environment if you choose a Dunster House Garden Office.

Garden Office from Dunster House

Bright garden office

Lighting is one of the most important features you need to consider when buying a Garden Office. You may need to work long hours, evenings and weekends which you don’t want to be doing in the dark. Similarly, you do not want an overly bright room that can lead to headaches. To save you from paying hidden/extra costs for lighting, we provide our halogen spotlights as standard rather than as an optional extra. In addition to the halogen spotlights, we also give you the electrics you will need to run your business. This includes one double gang socket (two plugs) and a double gang socket with two inbuilt USB ports which should be plenty for plugging in your laptop, stereo, charging your phone or anything else you may need.

Garden Office Insulation

You are going to be using your Garden Office all year round. With the change in seasons comes the change in weather, but that doesn’t mean you have to retreat to the house. Far from it, our Garden Offices are designed to be used throughout the year. The floors, walls and ceilings of your Garden Office are fully insulated. We use Polyurethane insulation in our Garden Offices. This form of insulation is far superior to cheaper alternatives such as polystyrene or rockwool. It is such a renowned insulator that NASA use it to insulate the external fuel tank of the space shuttle. Whilst, on a more practical note, it is approximately twice as thermally efficient as loft insulation meaning your Garden Office will be warmer when it’s cold and cooler in the heat.

Windows and Doors

To ensure your Garden Office retains its heat, we not only supply insulation in the walls, floor and roof, but thick uPVC windows and doors. Our Garden Offices come with 28mm double glazing. This consists of two panes of 4mm toughened glass separated by a 20mm spacer. The double glazing not only lets in plenty of light and gives you a spectacular view.  But also offer you better sound and heat insulation so you can work undisturbed.

Ensured safety

You are going to be working in your own little bubble, getting on with your day and completing the tasks. But when you are done for the day you want peace of mind knowing all of your high-tech kit is protected. We provide you with multi-point locking systems with espagnolette mushroom headed locks. The patio door has a 4-point locking mechanism, with a 6-pin euro cylinder barrel, providing you with a secure Garden Office. So you can rest easy knowing your laptop, monitors and other expensive gadgets are locked away safely.
