Autumn and Winter are a revealing time for your garden – more importantly the flaws in your garden storage. For most people, their tools and gardening equipment barely see the light of day over the next four months (I say most, some of you hardcore gardeners are out in the minus temperatures).
This is fine, except when your shed is rickety, old and full of holes that leave them exposed to the elements. By the time you open your shed door, it’s like a challenge from I’m a celebrity; there are spiders hiding from the cold, damp damaging your tools and mould growing absolutely everywhere. So now, instead of simply replacing your shed when you first noticed it looked a bit old, you now have to go through the costly process of replacing all your tools and equipment.
The Taarmo Shed
Our new fully pressure treated, heavy duty Taarmo Shed gives you a cost effective solution that will keep your tools dry, take up no time atall and leave plenty left over for Christmas. Unique to our shed range, the Taarmo Shed is made with 19mm tongue and groove spruce timber rather than the preassembled panels otherwise featured in our range (still as good but we like to give you options).
These logs fit together similar to a jigsaw, creating an effective barrier and keeping your tools/equipment protected from the elements. This also allows for the natural movement of timber which contracts and detracts throughout the year so you don’t have to worry about gaps appearing over time like you would with rough sawn, unplanned timber.
We use full lengths of spruce, rather than the inferior finger joints (also known as box joints) that some of our competitors use. Finger joints allow companies to offer cheap offcuts and pieces of wood that are too small, which are then glued together, creating a finish with no structural integrity. The way in which our 19mm walls fit together creates a heavy duty Shed that will remain as strong as the day you bought it.
We go one step further and pressure treat the timber to protect it against rot and fungal decay. This process of treatment forces the non toxic, arsenic treatment deep within the spruce, rather than dip treating it, for better protection. Pressure treatment means you don’t have to retreat your timber annually; saving you time, money and energy every year – just build it and its good to go.
Like all good product designers, we have done our research into our competitors. We were shocked to find that, although some of their prices look low initially, they often have hidden extras – like paying extra for a floor! Our Taarmo Shed, along with most of our range, come with a roof and floor as standard (the Taarmo Shed floor and roof is 11mm as standard). There are no hidden costs with our Garden Buildings, what you see is what you get!
You’ll notice that the Taarmo Shed is windowless. This is intentional to increase security and space, making it harder for thieves to break into your shed or passersby to see the contents making you less of a target. Around Christmas, its perfect! You can hide your presents in the shed and nosey children can’t peek before the big day. Being windowless also increases the amount of interior space which you can use to store all of your valuable gardening equipment, dangerous chemicals and anything else you choose.
The Taarmo Shed starts from £489.99. To order yours today, visit our website or call our sales team on 01234 272 445. Alternatively, if you would prefer we call you, fill in our ‘Contact us’ page and we will get back to you. As always, feel free to ask any questions in the comments section below.
